Question about lash adjusters

Alright. I will try to explain this so that it makes scense. I was pulling the lifters out of my 2g 7 bolt head, and they were stuck in there with carbon, i had to pull them out. Now after i pulled them out, the tip will pull out an extra 2-3 mm or so on about half of the lifters. IT just seems that they cam unattached from the plunger inside. I would say that they should be fine, but i want to make sure that it isn't going to open more while the motor is running and put some valves into the pistons. If anyone has any good information on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

All you did was just let them rest when you pulled them out. What you can do is take a paper clip and insert into the whole on the top of it, and push down on the paper clip. While doing that you will find a spot that will allow you to push the plunger down on the Lifter.

They have tension behind them, so even if you do this they will pop back up to the normal height.
