Question about gsx factory lsd....?

I was wondering what kind of lsd the 1990 gsx came with....clutch or viscous....also....does both the front and rear wheels have lsd's....? sorry...this is a real newbie question but i was curious to know and i couldn't find any info by searching this or any other site.....if anyone knows please educate me....im trying to learn all the specs on my gsx....thanks....

they came with the viscous type and it is only on the rear wheels. you will know if you have it by the bright orange sticker in the drivers side door molding near the paint code and manufacture date sticker. and yes, this is a newbie question that could be answered by searching, but i am pulling near the end of my work day so i am in a good mood.

The center came with a viscous differential and the rear had an option for I believe a gear type LSD, made in such a way it doesn't wear out like a clutch type would.

No, the rear is definately a viscous. I thought the same thing at first..then I actually read my orange sticker .

Actually the center has an open diff with a viscus cupling added on. Not that this is different than what everybody is saying but it should be noted that the VC is only used when the axle speeds are significantly different.
