Question About Eprom

I have a 92 awd talon automatic and I just had a quick question about eprom cpus. My car I know doesn't have eprom and I was just wondering if I could take a 5 speed eprom and put it into my automatic talon and have everything work at all. If anyone knows at all or has tried it. Thanks For the info.

Yes you can swap them in a 1g. The 1g has a TCU that controls the transmission not the ECU.

The 1g auto still compensates for 390cc injectors where as a 1g manual compensates for 450s. So there are differences. If your getting the e-prom chipped, you have nothing to worry about.

Are you planning in using Dsmlink on that car? if you do I just want to add this quote from dsmlink.

NOTE: We do not currently support the 1G automatic. We will work to correct this as soon as possible.

BaddAssGst has a good point regarding to the injectors size.
