I bought a 95 gst and it came lowered in the front. The guy i bought it from says it has lowering springs on it. he gave me the stock black coilovers for the car. But also gave me these littler blue springs with a silver threaded shaft and said he was gonna put them on. Im not sure what those are? Also The cars front feels like it has no suspension every bump almost takes the car off the ground? I want to return it to stock just am confused on what I have.

These arewhat the blue ones look like so i guess they are coilovers?
Do coilover replace the stock springs?

I think you just have lowering springs on your stock shocks, a lot of people tends to be cheap and just put on some lowering springs, thus you experiencing the hard bumps. Or you do have coilovers and it's on stiff setting.

Those Blue springs are just lowering springs and the silvers are the coil over, sometimes refered as ground control.

To help fix your problem, you can:

Buy shorter shocks to help your "bumpy" problem.

or just install your old ones.

Depending on the specs of those coilover, you may need to buy proper shocks to use them.

k, I bought the car the guy told me it has lowring springs on it, He gave me something very similar to whats in that link and also he gave me larger black springs so im not sure what to put on or whats there now? I do know like I said every bump is like I just hit a wall.

k, I will take some pictures and see if i can better find out what i have.

Yes they are coilovers. If you want to put the factory black ones back on all you have to do is remove the strut tower bolts and the hub from the tower as well that's two more bolts. Unholy the brake line mount on the tower as well put a spring compressor on and unscrew the bolt in the middle of the top of the tower and it slides right off. But if u have lowering coilovers u shouldn't have to compress the aftermarket spring. But u will still have to compress the.oem for the spring to slide on properly

K So last night I took off the wheel to look and the first issue is there are two different types of shocks on the front.... 0-o. Second, The setup now is The coil-overs are bolted to the strut tower and the shock sits under it. The question I have is If I put the stock springs back on Do I need anything else? The top of the spring will sit into the strut tower but where does the bottom sit? It seems like im missing some parts to reinstall stock springs... I need to fix this asap I can barely drive it and cant even go over speed bumps...

My shocks do not have this circle bracket on them the coilover is slid onto the shaft and sits on the shock and the bottom mounts in, there is nothing on the shock itself.

The stock struts has a plate around it for the springs to sit on, most after market struts requires smaller coil spring to sit on. I'm kind of lost at what your saying. But like the above post, you will need spring compressors to install the stock springs if disassembled.
