It was hooked up to the wastegate actuator, with the t25 one line went to the actuator and the other went to the compressor housing...since it was the same line coming from the bcs i just plugged the compressor line and ran it to the wastegate actuator on the 16g...

Ok so today i have everything hooked up correctly now...I found out that i had the mbc backwards this morning. So everything is hooked up correctly. Now I went out to test it out this morning and i unscrewed the mbc as much as possible and tightened the lock nut. It went to 19 pounds, then i unscrewed it a little more and It boosted to about 21 pounds . So, can i have the screw on the mbc too far out or something? Any help would be great guys

Thanks:dsm:

Wait you just capped the line that used to run from the comp housing??? Were you telling boost by the stock boost gauge before??? Honeslty if you can't figure out how to wire in a gauge then I think you should be taking your car somewhere to have your work done.

theres no nipple on the compressor housing of an evo 16g that i know of. I car has been sitting since ive put the turbo on, just a light drive around town once and a while. I know how to wire a gauge thank you. There is a random light that came with my c2 gauge that does not fit anywhere into the gauge and i was wondering if anyone had put on in before or they knew what it was. The wiring is not what i am concerned with, it is where to put the light.

What we have been trying to tell you for half a page now is, without a pressure source hooked up to your bcs, you have effectively disabled your wastegate/actuator which should have resulted in out of control boost. In other words, you either were running 25psi with the new turbo and you didn't know it because you're just intalling your boost gauge now, or your turbo isn't out of control as it should and you have other problems to deal with.

would the car not hit fuel cut if it was boosting to 25 psi and me get a check engine light?

Ok, near the j-pipe i just saw a tap looking thing resembling what oldman showed me...it is actually on the compressor housing of the turbo, is that what ya'll are talking about with the pressure source that i need to get that npt for and hook that up to the mbc? And why would the car, hooked up totally normally under wot not hit fuel cut at your approximated 25psi without and mbc but hit fuel cut at the 19psi reading on my gauge.

If you look closer, you will realize the hole doesn't go all the way through. Stick with the BOV lines for now, like I said before, if you experience any problems, you should then go back and consider your tapping options at compressor/j-pipe.

And why would the car, hooked up totally normally under wot not hit fuel cut at your approximated 25psi without and mbc but hit fuel cut at the 19psi reading on my gauge.
This is why I said, if the turbo isn't out of control, provided what you described as to how the bcs was hooked up was accurate, you have other problems to consider. Hook up you mbc as per our pm conversation and see what happens.

Ok so i just got back from taking the car for a drive. Car drives fine under normal circumstances. When i get on the throttle the car is like slowing itself down...like im hitting the brakes. Then after the slowing the boost will come on. I do not know what psi its at since my light isnt hooked up in my gauge yet. Anything that would be causing this hesitation/slowing down?

Call it a night and continue tomorrow in daylight if you can't read the gauge at night, boost level is way too important to ignore at this stage.

Ok everything is hooked up, currently with the mbc screwed out im running a solid 11lbs of boost without any spike or anything. At idle i have a little more vacuum than i should which i will assume is a boost leak somewhere but the car is running and holding boost. I actually do not have a compressor or anything so maybe i'll buy a bike pump if that'll do the trick and then make a leak tester. I have to go back to school in NC though so i wont be able to do it for a week or so, I want to thank you for your help

:dsm:

You're welcom and good luck.

BTW Bike pump won't help you if you have decent size or amount of leaks, most retail outfits carries great return policies. ;) :shhh:
