Wtf!!!!!!!!!

i just put everything back together. it all is going good. i start it, and its really really loud and the rpms are increasing. like i turn it on, the RPM's strart to rise really quickly, then i shut it off because im afraid of what could happen. WHAT IS THIS?????

Check you vac lines and all the gasket seals. It sounds like you're getting too much air and the ecu is compensating with more fuel. I would start with the throttle body, as WCDSM mentioned it might be the cable, but it might also be the screw is backed too far out.

If there is a lot of noise, it might be that the intake mani is not secure, possibly a stripped stud? What does the noise sound like?

Did you change the lifters or making any adjustments to them? There is a waiting period suggested when doing anything with the hydraulic lifters because it will not have the right oil pressure after you remove and replace (I believe they fully extend when removed).

Check for vacuum leaks (did tou get all the hoses reconnected) make sure the throttle cable is routed correctly so the butterfly is not being hung open.

Seeing as it started you have Fuel Fire & Timing:thumb: now it's just getting the buggs worked out.

mmmmk, throttle cable eh? what and where exactly is that?

also can it be that the belt is out of time?

and i did replace the lifters, bled them, and they sat overnight.

Could it be that i installed the thing by the CAS wrong? like could it be that its 180 degrees out of round?

Where is the throttle cable!?! It's that black thing that you hooked up the throttle body. The cable that pulls the butterfly hatch open when you hit the "gas pedal." There should be a point where it is anchored on the intake manifold and you can slide it back and forth, then tighten it. Is the throttle body closing all the way?

It could be that the belt is out of time, but you just did it, so it shouldn't be screwed up already. Did you align everything and use a straight edge to check the cam gears?

wow...im embarassed. i never really knew the name of it. i just always refered it as "that thing" my bad.

ok so what is happening now is....when i crank it, it turns, really hard for it to start, then it starts, runs hard for like 3 sec. then shuts its self off wtf?

So ill just start from the beginning,
so the timimg belt jumped, bent 5 valves, pistons all good. we ordered a bunch of stuff, new valves, lifters, tensioners for the timing belt area, put it all back together. we started it up, it was hard for it to start, but it started, then it ran really hard and the RPMs were increasing then the car dies. i have no idea what it could be. My mind is drawing a blank.

If this is installed wrong, what will happen?

Is that your belt tensioner? It's hard to see, but it looks like one of the autotensioner pulley's without the outer ring. Where exactly did that come from?

Do you have a logger? Could you tell us if there is anything that is not showing up correctly? There is too little information for us to make a complete diagnosis. Could you supply some pics of the engine bay and the surrounding area?

no thats from the CAS. someone said it could be installed wrong.

i dont have a balance shaft belt in. could that be my problem? i dont think it could but idk, maybe.

I just really need help with this, i haven't driven my car for a full week yest with out something happening and i got it like two months ago. So maybe this will be the last thing....for a while.

hooray i got a video, its not good quality, and u have to turn up the speakers. its from my phone so yeah.

But this is what it does, i start it, runs hard then shuts its self off. sometimes it will last longer than this.

yeah we keep resetting the timing. we line up all teh marks, we've dont it like six times already. idk what else to do.

Do NOT start that engine again! That is horrible. It sounds like you've got a cam at the wrong position. That's some serious smacking. You should have the notches in opposite position, where one points toward the other notch.

Remove the valve cover when you check the timing belt. Make sure that on each end, when the exhaust cam is pushing down on a cylinder, the intake cam lobe for the same cylinder is in the opposite position. Do you know how to set TDC?

ok well im trying to reset the timing, and for some reason, when i try to turn the intake sprocket clockwise it wont let me, then i turn the exhaust sprocket clockwise, then teh intake will turn. Why is this?

That is the pistons slapping the valves for sure, might as well stop wasting your time with the timing and pull the head off.

If everything looks fine, then you might have sticky valves, messed up lifters, worn rockers, or bent valves. With the head off, have you tried just turning the cams and watching the valves to see what they do? Is it stuck in all positions or just at certain intervals?

i dont think its sticky valves because a bunch of them are new and the rest were cleaned off, they arnt bent valves,i just replaced the lifters with 3g lifters, and rockers dont have any sign of being worn.
