I just installed my extremepsi external oil cooler kit and this might just be me but are the push locks not supposed to go all the way in the push lock hose? I mean I have tried every method that I could think of.

The most I can get the hose is to the second notch from the bottom. It's definately in there as I tried to remove it them I can't but would it cause any issues in the future?

The most I can get the hose up to is the second notch from the bottom which still leaves a small gap:

Put some grease or oil on the barbs and slide it right on...only way to get it off is too cut it with a razor.

Definitely lubricate the barb with a light coat of oil when assembling these. It helps immensely.

Even if it does not seat all the way to the ring, you're fine as long as it's tight and not leaking.

If you get it past the 2nd barb but not all the way to the neck, you're fine. Next time use some type of hose lubricant. As you discovered, it's tough to get on but it's even tough to get it off. You have to cut the hose to remove it if you have to do so.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I did coat the inside of the hose but it was a very light coat. Being as I don't have any more push lock hose I'll try to put some more oil on the fitting. It's right at the second barb line. I'll try to get it past it with more oil.

thanks!

Silicon spray works best, it will make the rubber to metal slick as hell. WAY better than oil. Plus it dies up and no longer provides that super slick surface, unlike oils, which stay there and make it a little easier to come off as well.

I soaked the bad boys in oil and got one all the way to the top and the rest very close to it. All have pass the second barb without question, so it should be good to go!
