All depends on the brand FMIC you get. I'd say must fellas go with a push fan becuase the two pulls get in the way. Or you could go 1 pull on the passenger side and a push on the driver's side. Thats another option. I think im going to go two pushers.

custom spearco intercooler, kinda looks like the punishment-racing one, do you know if the stock fans that come stock on our cars came push or pull
 
A puller fan is more efficient and will work best on the passenger side. Depending on your setup you may be able to use a small 8" or 10" slim line puller fan on the drivers side.

I recently changed my setup around and had to take my 10" fan and move it to a pusher fan on the drivers side due to too much heat from the manifold wanting to melt the fan.
 
An intercooler shouldn't make you change fans. I've found nothign works better than stock fans , leave them on until your setup won't allow them to fit. But if you want to drive it daily with AC on then i would base the setup around keeping teh stock fans. I have them both (stock) and i have a large t3/t4 hybrid on a turbonetics manifold with an external gate with atmospheric dump and it all fits just fine.
 
I don't know if your question got answered, and you may be confused a bit still.

The stock fans are "pull" type, as they are on the engine bay side of the radiator. If you were to mount a "pusher" fan on the engine bay side, you'd essentially be fighting the normal flow of air when the car is moving, creating a possible overheat situation. If you get a "push" style slim fan, you'll need to mount it on the bumper side of the radiator, OR convert it to a "pull" style fan. Sometimes this can be accomplished by switching the positive and negative wires; sometimes you have to take the fan blade assembly off the motor and flip it around.

The instructions you get with the slim fans should explain pretty clearly how to install the fans, and if you have any doubt, just let them run and put your hand behind (or in front) of them to figure out which way they need to be mounted/modified.
