ok so igot my head back finaly i wanted to install my head studs tonight but i need to know if it was absolutly nessesary to use threadlock on them. if itis /cry i don't have any

I did not use any on my ARP studs. Cometic HP head gasket. 5-6k no problems yet. I didn't have anyone tell me to use threadlocker. I believe that it says to use the supplied ARP lube when installing the studs. That is for consistent torque values.

Never use thread locker on head bolts. The pressures put on the head studs will be sufficient. So No, dont use any!

ARP recommends that the head studs are installed into a DRY, chased hole and not bottomed out in the block.
