Thinking of buying a punishment 3 inch downpipe but have some questions. I am thinking of deleting the cat does this downpipe go all the way back to the catback. I have a 3 inch cat back now and I have a ported 2g manifold. My goal now is to find the right downpipe and o2 housing. Can anyone help? Is anyone running these? Does it delete the cat? How easy does it bolt up? Thank You

Mine went to the cat, i think most go to the cat then stop, i have megan racing one, with a cat delete. I used a stock o2 housing, no problems here.

i have the 3 inch punishment downpipe the flange at the end wasnt the same as the flange on my cat so i bought a test pipe...it fit awesome in the stock 02 housing but i bought a evo3 02 and the flexpipe hits the transfer case

no I mean to the catback pipe. not to the cat, downpipe go all the way back to the catback pipe?

I guess I could just buy a megan racing and hollow out the cat. But I was just think it would be easier if the down pipe was the delete.

No, it goes to the cat. The 2g ones delete the cat, but that won't fit our cars. It's a nice fit with the stock O2 housing, but you're going to need something to go between that and your catback. Personally, I run a high-flow cat and a custom built catback system (welded it all up myself). Most muffler shops will not knowingly do any form of cat-delete kind of work, but order a test pipe or set up a cat of some sort and it should do fine.

Overall, it's a great piece, and a good price. :thumb: Comes with gaskets and hardware btw.

edit: another thought would be to try contacting them, maybe they can leave the pipe longer for the cat delete for a little extra $ ?

The cat would be a bottleneck if the rest of your exhaust is 3 inch. If you have a trucking supply store near your house buy some 3 inch v-band exhaust flanges and a v-band clamp. Cut the flanges off your downpipe and cat back.Measure your cat take it to an exhaust shop or friend with welder. Have them weld extra pipe the length of you cat on either the downpipe or catback, and weld on the flanges.
