So i did a lot of searching and found a lot of information on this clutch. There were a few posts regarding the metal of the disks stripping around the splines of the input shaft and falling apart. There was some discussion about this weakness being replaced by a stronger metal. all of this was back in 2008/ 2009. My question is, has this issue been resolved? Opinions from people using this setup on a daily driver?

Thanks in advance

I was using them on my DD up until just last week. I never had issues with the splines wearing out. My only complaint was that I was only getting about 10k miles out of a set of disks before they wore out and then I had to pull my trans again. At 10k miles when the disks were to thin to work anymore the splines in the disks were noticeably worn down and that is what they are designed to do, the splines in the disks are softer than the input shaft so they will wear out first.

The thing that was nice about the clutch was dealing with PTT themselves when it was time for new disks they offer a free inspect service so I would send them the whole clutch and they would check everything out and let me know what was still good to reuse. Last time they even put a new spring in the clutch cover for free even though mine was good but they had made a revision to improve it so I got the latest and greatest.
