i recently got my car tuned for E85, using my current setup that is in my profile. On a mustang dyno using 1 big fan in front with the hood partly closed i made this power, obviously on a little colder day and more air going to the engine i would make more power, but with this setup around 26 lbs of boost i feel I'm making a fairly low amount of power

Mustang dynos are heart breakers take it to the track and get some times. Allso what are you tuning with?
 
My old numbers where 280 hp on fftec dyno on 20g @ 25 psi heart break dyno ,go to the track see what it does
 
Sounds like you need a better tune on this thing. You should be making 400+ out of that turbo at that boost level.
 
I'm using a 98 ecu tuned with ecuflash, again i know how heartbreaking there dyne is.. LOL but i still feel it should be more you know?
 
you think maybe close to 30? i know at night when i drive my car it boosts more and feels soo much better(granted most turbo cars do) hahah

i forgot to mention i don't have an ac belt

Was the sniffer used during the dyno? I'm just askin because if so, that a/f ratio is all outa wack. Who tuned it also? Even if that's not your actual a/f, I'm gonna say your tune is definitely at fault though.
 
Full function tuned it, I'm not bashing them at all, their all great guys. But I'm just kinda confused. i have an afr gauge and they probably use a sniffer too. i wanna say I'm running lean but idk if its thattt crazy. I'm still running a stock IM , and only a 7" fmic but i don't think all that stuff can hold me back that much, which makes me think its a conservative tune
 
My Galant with the billet 5857 at 27psi made 471whp on a dynojet on straight pump. You should be higher, ESP on E85.
 
Was that 107mph trap in your profile before or after this tune and if it was before, do u know where power was at that time or at least what boost level? Also, is your a/f gauge narrow or wideband? If its narrow, you need to get rid of it and if that's the case then I'd definitely say its the tune ### that means they just went off the sniffer readings which are totally JACKED. It surprises me because FF has a pretty good rep in the EVO community....

I'd be curios to see a log of the car with your AFR in it... . Definitely even on that Dyno with that turbo and e85 you should be making more Power, Unless there's something wrong with the car...
 
It is a wideband, and my current 1/4 time was on this tune but I was getting crappy 60fts so I didn't dip lower. My car is fine, a good amount of the parts are new as well. Idk I was thinking about calling them up for a possible retune, or to do some data logging. I know this turbo, especially on e85 can make more. Oh and stock evo 9s make around 230-240 whp

Your 60ft has very little effect on your trap speed. In fact, a worse 60', will often result in a HIGHER trap speed. So I would say your trap speed is very indicative of your low numbers so its not just a low reading dyno. If u know the car is mechanically sound and u have no boost leaks, I would start looking for a new tune because both your trap and numbers are pathetic for your setup and if that a/f is any indication of the tune, then I'd say you've found the reason.....
 
compression was good the last time i checked. Well i was saying the 60ft in terms of my times, i had a run which was around 112 so i know with a good launch i can do much better. I will do a boost leak test and check my compression again. I forget to mention i remember my power was breaking up between the time i got my car tuned and taking it to the track. at the track it was still doing it so i changed the plug gap to around .18 and my car started running better. so who knows maybe that was it. Cause i never changed the gap when i tuned it for e85, il call FFtec monday and talk with them, they've been good to me over the years and i know they will help me with this and hopefully figure it out.
 
Spark blowout could definately explain that crazy a/f reading on your slip. The question though is does your car FEEL like it picked up about 15mph or 150hp since gapping the plugs, because that's about how much you're down??? Even with a 112 mph trap.
 
It helped and everything, but I don't feel like that's what is holding me back. Who knows, I just have a lot of unanswered questions
 
so i recently made a boost leak tester and tested it up to 15psi, but had problems with it blowing off. Other than that though i didn't notice any leaks. I checked my afrs though and WOT is low 11's and even gets to 10.9. Regular driving is 14-15. I don't know what it is but those readings suck
