You can't be serious. You do realize that these have been proven 100% useless, right? They honestly do not do anything for you performance wise. Actually I take that back; they harm performance because they block air flow.

Save your money.

LOL well the feedback on that went a total 180 of what I thought it was going to. I bought my car when I turned 18 this march and have been slowly putting things on to it like my performance spark plugs, air intake and stuff like that. It already had the custom exhaust on it when I had it and i've been looking around for more parts that will make her just mean on the road and it seems that i'm not making the right decisions on what to put into it
 
There is a electric turbo charger system out there that actually works. Forget what it was called, but it uses exhaust gases to power a generater that charges a separate high capacity battery that in turn powers a real turbo compressor housing with a HEAVY DUTY motor attached to it. It costs a couple grand tho.

I want to say hes talking about a setup that was rumored to come stock on some new bmw. I THINK i read that somewhere. Weird setup, think it was in one of the car magazines my daughter conned me into subscribing(her school always sells me shit LOL)
 
The thing i remember about it was it was simply used to spool the main turbo iirc. Powered by a battery pack of course. It would give it really good low end torque while not compromising top end flow. But i would imagine you couldnt use it constantly, the batteries would need to recharge obviously. I guess it would be a hybrid/compound setup???

The only thing that's going to make it fast is building the motor and installing a turbo (a real one not electric :rolleyes:) and don't buy anything off that site you keep linking to, they just sell a bunch of useless crap.

I tried finding the article i read on it along time ago, haven't had any luck. Its different from the bmw version which is just an electrically assisted turbo. The set up i was talking about is a real turbo compressor modified to be powered by a high output electric motor, which is capable of spinning the compressor at tradition turbo speeds. To power this motor it uses a special exhaust gas driven turbine generator. When its up to speed the generator is able to provide enough power to constantly power the turbo motor, however at idle and low engine speeds it doesn't provide enough power. So, there is also a special high capacity battery wired into this system that can store enough power to compensate for the times the turbine generator doesn't provide enough power. The system eliminates all lag.
 
Sounds like the bmw setup but with more shit to break and rob horsepower. Exhaust driven generator? I suppose that would eliminate the need for a large bank of batteries but thats the ONLY up side

Uhhh... yeah... You could say that.:| You might as well forget about making that thing fast on a budget. Just drive it and enjoy it for what it is. Learn as much as you can and maybe save up for a turbo model. Good luck!:thumb:
