Prothane motor mounts weird

I just got my prothane motor mount kit and was wondering why the front motor mount is solid and the other 3 are split??
I can see the ease at which the other ones go in and was curious if something was amiss as why this one was solid and if it's supposed to be this way what's the trick to getting that in the outer lip is significantly larger than the mount.

The two side motor mounts should be split into two, the side without the outer edge goes into the motor mount bracket and the outer edge is on the outside. They also have a gold metal tube that slides through the two of them and hold them together (also where the motor mount bolt goes through). The front and rear motor mounts are inserts and just pop into the existing rubber motor mount on either side.

Edit: asrdave - You're right, I just assumed the 1G and 2G prothane mounts were the same. OP, in that case, after removing the stock rubber motor mount just force the new prothane mount in. Use some white lithium grease if you have it and keep pushing and turning until it starts to slide into the motor mount bracket. You can even try using a rubber mallet or hammer to force it in if you have enough room.

He has a 1G the front is solid, you need to get rid of the existing rubber.

I have the old school set where the front goes around the stock and the other three had full inserts.

Hey thanks for the replies guys.
I kinda figured the whole removing the old rubber and sleeve thing I was curious more than stumped as to why the front mount is solid and not split?
I already have the split ones done, but before I tore the front one up beating it into the bracket, I wanted to make sure this was in fact supposed to be the way it was. even though it had the correct description on the packet.
The kit I bought was from ExtremePSI, so I figured it would be correct, but I didn't want to ruin it if it was a mistake.

I'll beat it into place tomorrow.

That is odd to me. My kit was like GsxEcutioner stated, but I believe I read later that the kit was revised to have a split mount similar to the rest of them. Too bad for me. Anyway, since it is one solid piece, I honestly have no idea how you are going to install it. I would check with ExtremePSI tomorrow and maybe go as far as trying to get hold of Prothane if necessary. If all else fails, I would cut the mount down the middle to make it a split mount instead of trying to beat it in as a single piece.

If it were me I'd contact Prothane directly and ask them what's up with it and how they "recommend" installing one solid piece like that.

We pressed it in, on my buddy's 1G. It was lots of grease and praying.

I realize this is from Energysuspension, but it's exactly the same one I bought and you are right about the front one being solid.

I guess I'm going to have to call Prothane and see what they say. I'll let you know if I get any good info.

Well just got off the phone with Prothane and they said it exactly as was mentioned "arsdave" said. Lots of grease and press it in, after you take the bolt sleeve out and then press it back in once the rubber is seated. I asked why the other 3 were split and he said "it's the way the engineer decided to go" and that was it.

Just use a vice and press it in. I would assume since it's the smallest they could make it solid. I'm not sure where the problem is, a bit of lube and she pops right in.
