I was thinking about getting the AEM UEGO Wideband gauge kit but I happened across this:

Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge

Has anyone used it? Should I stick with getting the AEM? If so, why?

I already have other Prosport gauges and the main reason to get this would be to match the others. But if the AEM is better for some reason then I'll go ahead and get it. Prices are comparable, alot of vendors have the AEM on sale right now so its a bit less expensive.

I have never used their products but have always found their gauges to be pretty inaccurate and inconsistent. A Wide band is a vital part of a performance base, invest in quality. $220ish for an AEM, a known, quality product would be my recommendation.

I went ahead and got the AEM. I e-mailed Prosport about their gauge and it doesn't have 0-1v narrowband or 0-5v analog wideband outputs. They said it was something they are looking into though.

The Prosport gauge does look nice. Very similar to the AEM except it has the smoked lens.

Hey guys. Just want to chim in.

Our wideband uses the latest LSU bosch o2 sensor 4.9. comes with everything needed for quick and easy installation.
We run all of our gauges in our 500whp STI. We have had the Wideband tested next to others and was just as accurate if even more then other brands.

We strive in 100% quality parts and have been in business for 35 years.

Our wideband does have a 0-5v output.

If anyone has any questions feel free to PM :)

I have the Prosport wideband AF, I got it when it came out a few months ago. I am quite satisfied with it. It was really easy to install, came with a bung, generous cord lengths and isn't overly bright. And the price was good as well. I can't vouch for any other ones. I just needed it to get something to go with my Apexi neo until I can get DSM link.

I know it's late and you already got one, but wanted to add this for anyone else reading it.

I'll have to try this out. I have other prosport gauges also and my AEM just doesn't fit in. Since it does have a 5v output, then it would be easy enough to compare it to DSMLINK's wideband output. That'll have to happen after I upgrade to V3 though :)

Does anyone have a profile shot of the gauge? The AEM bezel just sticks out so much, it's aesthetically unpleasing.

The current wideband AFR looks the same as our performance series gauges. We are in production now of Premium series wideband AFR gauges that will be available in about 45 days (March 31). and we will have amber color LCD available at the same time.

Will there be a gauge with red in the display too? I'm sick of blue and amber.

Ive dealt with the guys at Prosport gauges and i couldnt be happier with a set of gauges. And for the price you cant really beat it, and i cant wait to get my hands on a Prosport wideband when i get the money. LOL :thumb:

Thread revival: For some reason we are getting more than a few hits through this 2 year old thread. Well alot has changed since then. 1st of all now all of our widebands (we make 6 different ones) all have dual output signals 0-1v AND 0-5v for datalogging. Our newest EVO wideband one 4 awards at the SEMA show.

2nd is S&R performance is now a believer !! After several dyno test's of both our gauges and headers they wanted in and now distribute Prosport Gauges and Performance accessories. So if you need anything ask the experts at S&R performance.

Oh yeah? how does that work??? You havnt used prosport, yet you find them to be inaccurate and inconsistent? hmm.

I love prosport. They are beautiful gauges and ive never had any issues with them.

I just recently bought a prosport EVO3 boost gauge through SandR performance, I'm loving it, its a little hard to tell wether you're on boost or vaccum but i love it otherwise, I shortly will buy a EVO3 WB from them.

Correction: Yes ALL of our widebands have dual output signals both 0-1v output and 0-5v output for datalogging!!

Do you know if they are compatible with ECMlink v3? Or is that something that is supposed to be asked to them.

I have never used ECMlink, but I will say that as long as it can accept a 0-5v input it should be ok. Also, I love the prosport guages they go so well with the interior of the car especially at night that they almost look stock, I recently just purchased their amber wideband kit to replace my light show narrowband.

I am really liking the Evo gauges, I just wish they were a bit cheaper so can afford to buy more than one at a time!! Cause I would love to have a boost and WB that match each other and would want them at the same time, but almost 300 for both of them is outrageous!

I have one of the older amber/white ones. It seems a little cheap but honestly... it is. It's not a expensive gauge and I got what I paid for.

The new gauges however look like they are better quality. I was considering getting one.

Wow, I think you are the first person to tell us the gauges are too expensive. Our wideband is priced very competitive, some WB's go for $400+ but NONE have 2 colors such as the EVO.. an industry first. We are also using the latest Bosch 4.9 O2 sensor while most are using the older/slower/narrower 4.2 sensor.

As far as digital boost gauges go, again look at a standard autometer digital boost gauge #6970 (single color) runs about $140 Yikes!! our DUAL color digital EVO gauge is 40% LESS, Dakota digital boost gauge is $230 !!!!
We are clearly the most affordable one available with the latest innovations in lighting.

Haha yes, you guys are most affordable, but still a little out of my range for buying both at the same time, then add shipping. I am on a tight budget (ya ya this is a DSM and tight budget and DSM shouldnt go together) but Still need soem upgrades.
