Prosport Gauges vs Autometer

I have Prosport 52MM Premium gauges in my car (oil pressure and temp, fuel pressure, boost, egt, wideband, water temp and volts).

I only had one issue, I over tightened the screws a bit and thought I broke the gauges. A quick phone call and I had them fixed.

All my gauge readings are correct too. I love these things. I can see them perfectly in the day time and at night they match the stock gauges almost perfectly.

My only complaint is WOW, the wideband is bright at night LOL.

i too have prosport boost, and egt gauges and have no complaints!:thumb: but after a couple months with the egt, the probe had failed randomly. none the less i got intouch with them and they replaced it free of charge!:hellyeah: and its been flawless since then. but i must admit when the electrical egt comes on, i cant stand the loud beeeeppp noise!:banghead:ROFL

PROSPORT GETS ANOTHER :thumb: FROM ME!

You can turn that off you know. I have mine turned off.

Seriously though, isn't the only reason people buy prosport gauges is because they love the on/off theatrics the 270 degree sweep and don't want to pay the money for Defi or Autometer Nexus? I have run autometer and equus guages in every vehicle I have owned and the only problem I am having is with my wideband in the GSX. I haven't had time to properly figure it out yet though . . .

No.
I bought mine because they look better then Autometer, seem to be better quality and match my factory lighting at night.

I like both the autometer, prosport.

Also good gauges are stewart warner and marshall.

Meanwhile I like the ProSports, I'm quite irritated that my Boost Gauge's map sensor just decided to stop working one day. They sell replacements for 25$...read that they just stop working for some reason.

Prosport is made by the same Chinese factory that makes Glowshift - they are both knock-offs of Defi. Their gauges are pretty chintzy feeling if you've ever handled one. However, their boost gauges are accurate, although the oil pressure sending unit does seem to be a failure point. IMHO, if you are on a budget, stick with Autometer. If you have the money, get the real deal - Defi, not a knock-off.

Please don't post up if you do not know what you are talking about...

NONE of prosport gauges are made in CHINA !!!

Have you ever owned a Prosport gauge ??

i just put in 4 prosport gauges to replace those ugly ass autometers and i wouldnt put anything else in, i think the prosports look better than defi's. and who wants to pay $100+ for each gauge??? not me:ohdamn:

edit* pics didnt work :( will post them up later

After going through 4 boost gauges in my old SRT-4, I can't see myself buying another autometer gauge for a while. I had a prosport (mechanical) in there before I got rid of it and never had a problem with it :thumb:

How come most of the Prosport supporters are 2g owners? Most of the 1g owners in this thread own/have owned Autometer gauges. LOL :idontknow:

I've got the Amber/white Prosport volt and boost gauges in my A pillar, and Blue/White Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, and Water Temp molded into my center console under my Alpine head unit. Gauges are accurate and great looking, I'd definitely recommend them.

I had a Pro Sport boost gauge, it was always a bit off and slow to react. I replaced it with an AEM Tru Boost and I'm much happier.

All my other gauges are Pro Sport and I will be changing them to AEM too.

All my aftermarket gauge's are Autometer gauge's except my Wideband in my GS-T.In both my car's I have Autometer Pro-Comp Ultra-Lites in my Camaro for a little over 10 years & not one problem with any of them since the day they were installed & I also have Autometer Lunar gauge's in my GS-T & they also work great so imo Autometer all the way don't except any substitutes no doubt.

I'm running the white/amber digital Prosports and have no complaints. I'm currently running them with just the red LED in them to match my red dash lights, but might switch back to amber so they are a bit brighter.

Only issue I have is with the digital boost gauge, it sits just a hair below the 0 mark when the car isn't running. Not a huge issue since it's always accurate when running. Here's a crappy Droid pic I took last night:

What about clear amber fuel pressure gauges? :(.

prosport sucks! my psport boost gauge was never accurate so i switched to autometer

I just installed the Premium 52mm Peak/Warning Water Temp gauge and tapped it into the radiator hose with the adapter. The thing looks amazing and the warning feature is great. It seem very accurate, btu my only complaint is that it is slow as hell to react. The needle does not move from the 100*F (lowest mark) and start to slowly climb until my stock gauge has been in the middle (~180*F) for about 3 minutes.
