So heres the 420A i bought for my complete rebuild with turbo. Bought it off a guy for 150bucks with a spare trans. He broke the timming belt as a result in one broken valve and #3 rod shaddered into a million pieces.

Well here she is all tore down and lost need to be replaced. Looks like a complete full rebuild. Had a very hard time taking the underdrive pully off so... well i cut it off. The crank shaft is destroyed from what i see. I personally wouldnt have it reconditioned. Now its not a full long block. It didnt come with the cams, gears, and intake manni. the intake manni i will be looking to buy here soon.

Now the lifters, rockers, and the cam caps were all thrown in a bag when the guy took the cams and gears off. Im not worried about the lifters and rockers sence those are going to be replaced anyways.

Can anyone help me and putting the cam caps back in order!!!! please!!!!

Parts planing on replacing
oil and water pump
altenator
all pullys
all gaskets and belts
recon crankshaft
oil pan
egale rods and weisco pistons 8.8:1
supertech valves and springs
lifters and rockers
theres more its going to be a long build sence this is goign to be donw on spare time with 2 jobs working all 7 days.

That's awesome that you are going to put it all back together yourself instead of having a shop do it. I wanna do that some day. Good Luck!

Looks like a good start what turbo are you gonna go with ?

Not really sure yet. Havent really looked into that much yet sence its going to be a long build.

If you stop and look at them, they are numbered.

I hope in the future you pay attention to what you are doing during a teardown.

What is wrong with your oil pan?

Yeah i see the numbers on them ill have to google and search here too see if anyone has them in line.

That part of the tear down wasnt done by me .... the guy i bought the motor from took the cams and gears off the head himself and put them in a bag.

for the oil pan it is beat to hell when the rod broke into a millon pieces.

OUCH!!! what happened??? CODE4 is correct on the caps, they are numbered. I wish you best of luck in your build, remember not to rush and be patient in your built.

I bought the motor and a spare trans off this guy by me for 150 bucks. Its not a complete long block as it didnt come with cams, gears, and the intake manifold. But for a150 bucks i couldnt pass it up and really happy that the cylinder walls arnt scratched at all :thumb: He said he snapped the timing belt.

Yeah the only thing i want the shop to do is clean the block check it for cracks and all the good stuff. Same with the head and still debating on if ill have the shop also install the new valves and springs. and also still up in the air is i want to look into porting the head, intake minifold, and tb myself. Not sure yet though.

I did my port and polish myself and it was pretty easy. Just remove little bits at a time. With the port and Polish and 60mm TB i gained more torque and spool up faster at lower rpm's. Overall. I love it! Feel a big difference then before i did the PnP
