Heres the mods. EVOIII 20psi, 650s,safc,maft,rewired 190,stage 3 chip. Chip compensates for 650s, and maft.

With this same setup I ran 12.70 2 weeks ago. On the run I was seeing upwards of 24* or timing and no knock. At times my AFR would be around 12.5 with no knock still. I have my safc -30 to 40 across the board and im still not seeing any knock and crazy timing advance.

I'm looking for anyone who runs a similair setup and how they did with it.. My windows software expired so I can't post a log unless somebody has another way.

Thanks,
Mike

im still confused as to what your problem is, your seeing 24deg advance at wot and no knock, thats pretty darn good. is your maft all zeroed out since your have the stage 3 chip now with the injector compensation and you just leaned it out to -30-40 on the safc in addition to the chip... if so try going leaner on the safc or on the wot knob on the maft until u start to see minimal knock

what are your settings on the maft, what do u have the base knob set to ( base should be set to (2) and (0) on the aux knob) thats the setting for 450cc which is where u want it since you have the injector compensation on the chip)

I had it set for 450's. But i'm trying to get my enitre range closer so I dont need my afc to be taking away soo much fuel..

With an AFR in the 12.0-13.0 range with no knock,22psi on pump gas usually would =destruction..

i have pretty much the same setup minus a wideband and i have a 20g instead of a 16g. i have crazy blow by and im only taking about 23% away at redline. i was scared to take away anymore but im still running pig rich. seeing this thread i might take some more fuel out. do you have any boost leaks?

yeah i understand that, well since your maft is zeroed out, try zeroing your safc out too and see where that puts your afr's, with the injector compensation in the chip ,car should run well zeroed out depending on how much boost your running but then again everyones different, who made the chip? whats the target afr in the chip?

if everythings working right, no knock is no knock. if boost leaks are present the ecu could be dumping some extra fuel into the mix which is making it hard to tell why leaning it out isnt producing any knock yet

I have no boost leaks. I check them once a week.

When I 1st installed the Chip i started out with everything zero'd out. The car ran pig rich and would even reach redline without popping and sputtering. Kept taking away fuel and never saw knock. Now that im getting around 12.0 AFR i'm having 2nd thoughts.

hows it running, with 24deg advance on 22psi and no knock, pulling pretty hard huh?

Yea, the car feels to pull pretty good. But I only ran a 12.7 @ 106. I'm disappointed and the car should be faster!

I would say that somthing is wrong if you have a chip for 650's but still have to take out that much fuel with the AFC.

On the other hand be happy that you arn't knocking.

As far as posting you logs....do it the long way. I will go through the log, on the palm, and write down all the info. Then just type it into here. If you make sure each column uses the same amount of spaces all the way down it will look nice. For example in the timing column...5 would be 05,

rpm tim knck o2

1000 24 01 .83
2000 22 02 .95
3000 09 05 .92
4000 12 11 .91
etc......
