hi guys,
i have a maft setup and 750cc injectors, and they are supposedly compensated for using the dsmchips stage 3 chip. now i have mmcd to log. what should i do first...second... and so forth. please do not post any how to guides that fullthrottle has and any other website, i am very mad because i am not understanding what they are telling me and my car has been running like shit for a while because i cannot get the tune right. now i did not post to get ragged on, i just want to know how to get my base settings tuned for so i can get the car as fast as others. please help me.
thanks

Step 1) read tuning guides
Step 2) keep reading untill you understand
Step 3) us telling you isn't going to be any different than a guide
Step 4) have a professional/friend/dsm guru do it if you can't get past step 2

Frankly, if you knew you couldn't tune, why'd you buy a maf/t? A 2g MAS would've been fine. A professional tuning it should've been in your budged in the first place if you knew that you have no idea what you're doing.

Hint: Your base settings are already made by having it chipped, fine tuning is the next step.

see thats the thing, i do not know what to set my base injector size to. dsmchips says 450cc, but i am wondering for example what do you have your set on?
more help please and less ragging, i was not born knowing how to tune and neither were you.

is the chip for 750cc injectors or 450cc injectors? if its 750cc injectors set your maft for zero everything out and fine tune from their. i have been reading your posts for awhile now. it seems to me like you need to downgrade to some 550cc injectors because 750's are just too big for the 14b. alot of people have already told you this but you dont seem to lissen.

also post a log AGAIN! it will go a long way

well i thought that was the whole point of the chip, to be able to get bigger injectors... what i am going to do for the time being is this in order:
1> fix my exhaust by getting another one, going with 3" all the way because i do not like to do things twice but in this case i have to do the really bad headaches from the cut out. same principle stood for my 750cc injectors, that is why i got bigger ones in the first place, so i would not have to do it again.
2> still going to suffer from boost creep with the 14b, so i will port the hell out of it as soon as i get the right tools to do it.
3> the part i just realized is that when you take 5% fuel out of say an injector size like 450cc, you run a lot leaner, but if you take out 5% on the 750cc injectors, the car is still seeing more gas then it needs to, yes it will be leaner but not as lean as the 450cc -5%. so what i must do is turn down the boost to about 15-17psi, lower the base timing to about 3 degrees(that way i can lean the car out even more without really high timing)
yes smaller injectors might have been easier to tune, but i made the mistake of not realizing this at the time, but then again it will not change if i got a bigger turbo, tuning for the right air/fuel ratio will take the same process, but you get the added benefit of more boost with bigger injectors(of course if the setup can handle it cooling wise)
4> once i can get the car running at 15-17 psi, i will add a alcohol injection kit, so i can turn up the boost, timing, and lean it out more.
like i said i am going to to swap out my cutout right at the first bend on the downpipe, to a 3" full exhaust, so i am guessing the creep might not be as bad, but still pretty bad. cannot keep it under 21psi right now, actually got it tuned for that but i am at 84% duty cycle with 750cc injectors and a 14b, does not sound right to me, or anybody. to much fuel is being dumped in to compensate for the really hot air being pushed in.
i could skip the porting of the housing and just tune when i get the alcohol injection, but i would rather do it the right way.
thanks for following my threads, and you must know most of the issues i faced, any help at all would be of great benefit to me.
thanks
