General e16g eprom stage 3 safc maft 750s need help tuning

So here goes I have an e16g, fic 750s, maft, eprom stage 3 chip, walbro 190

I want to run more boost. The first problem I have is my logger wont work. It just says serial com error. When I unplug it from the port under the dash the ANTI LOCK light stays on. My chip did convert my boost guage to read knock though. So any suggestions on how to get my looger to work. It is a palm IIIc running mmcd and all connections are good. And how do I get my anti lock light to go off when the cable is not plugged into the cars port.

So while spooling the guage reads next to no knock at like half throttle 15psi. Then I smash the gas and the knock guage goes way up and I go not much faster.

Maft set at stock injectors, eprom chip set for 750s, and the safc -8 on lo throttle and -8 till like 3500 and then gradually richens up to like -2 at 7000.

I have tried richer but havent really gone much leaner and not much change in the knock reading. I am wondering if it is my super loud lifters and even with the phantom knock eliminator on the chip still hears the tick.

also It kinda sputters at like 6000+

I think I found out why my anti lock light is on. I removed my abs. But this should not have an effect on being able to use my logger wright?

How do I get the light to go off.

I would get the logger working before making any changes, if the lifters are making lots of noise than I would replace them, as far as your ABS light goes you can unplug the ABS ECM which is behind the right rear quater panel

the phantom knock code only works under part throttle, so you probably are getting bad phantom knock and it only reads it when you mash the gas. i have maft , afc, and keydiver stage 3 chip myself, im sure you got the 11:1 afr also? i got the 11:1 afr and maft one click lean on the wot, and i have the afc about -14 percent. and it runs fine, i also had a big problem with phantom knock ( although you can still hear it) it doesnt read it any longer because i drove it around and changed the oil. i lost my palm pilot , but my friend has one , i usually tune my car without the logger and using mainly just the knock gauge , and when i put the logger on to check it , its usually really close to perfect tune , but then again maybe its just me . good luck

maft set at stock injectors reads alot of air, i get about 2800 uncorrected hertz, so i bet you have to start at like -14 and end at like -12 at 7000 but dont just go straight from -8 log it and make sure.

sputtering at 6000+ , also check for boost leaks it will do that also, ( i still think its too rich)

fix the phantom knock otherwise tuning will be impossible

I just wish I new for sure what the phantom knock is being caused by. I dont want to throw money at new lifters if that wont fix it. Because I am rung out paying for my fully built 6 bolt. I just need a new clutch and I can drop it in. I oppted to use the stock lifters again but maybe I should just wait even longer and get some new ones.

I spent like 40 bucks on an oil change last time, with engine cleaner, full synthetic 10w 40 and lucus oil stabilizer and the lifter tick didn't change.

Would a smaller filter help raise oil pressure?

Hey find me some 3g lifters for 50 bucks and I will buy them.

Repco lifters came to 75 bucks for 16 I also ordered the topline ones and I will see which ones I like better when I get them.
