Problems after motor swap (will not turn over/start)

Ok guys. I swapped my motor out of my GST and put it in my GSX. Motor is installed correctly. I turned the crank while car was in not in gear (turns over fine) Checked grounds on starter and alternator and battery (GOOD). I turn the key and I hear a click bye the ABS and behind the motor. I put my starter in that was from my GSX (it sat in the shed for 4 years (Mabe frozen up?)). I'm going to try changing it out with my gst starter tomarrow. Any other Ideas I should try...? Checked computer (fine). Open to ideas need to get running before Friday. Please help me out.

Sounds like the starter to me. I mean, as long as you are able to turn the motor by the crank, you aren't looking at any kind of seizure from the motor.

So you said it clicks? Do you mean like the same kind of click you get when have a low battery? If the lights dim when trying to turn it over, then you should also check the battery voltage. You probably did that, but just throwing it out there if you might have had a brain fart like I usually do from time to time.

Your mostly correct in the starter since you said it had been sitting for 4years yeah it might have gotten frozen up good luck

I changed the starter and have the same problem. Still will not turn over there is a click under the dash as well. I took out the evap canister before the swap and took out the cruze controle as well. There is one plug that comes off the starter wires that looks like it should be hooked up (not the one on the starter slinoid but bye the groud wire that goes to the trans its a square two prong plug. I don't know if it went to the cruse controle i'll have to check but still not shure at this point. (battery is good)

Yah it was the plug that go's to the motor harness. Thank you every body.
