OK, so here is the problem I am having..... I Replaced the engine out of my 90 GST with an engine out of a 91 Talon TSI AWD in the process of installing this engine in my car i did an EGR Blockoff with a vacuum diagram from Taboospeed shop.. after I got the car running I drove it back to my house from my parents house and everthing was fine. Enter the next morning its about 2:30 am (i have to be at work at 3) and i go out side to start my car it will crank but it wont fire so i keep trying and finally i get it to fire off but it wont stay started when i put my foot on the gas and it wont high idle so after some troubleshooting i found out that my EGR Blockoff plate was leaking so i installed a EGR gasket and got rid of the RTV i was using for a sealer and after that i found one of my injector seals was leaking also so i have replaced all four seals for the fuel injectors, i have but a gasket between my block and my egr and it still doesn't want to start int he morning i have checked and checked all my vacuum hoses i have new plugs and wires the ISC was working the day i got the car running and now when it starts it trys to fast idle but it will not stay at fast idle speeds unless i hold it there with my foot. HELP ME please i love my dsm (its my second) but if i cant figure out what is wrong with it i will have to get rid of it :notgood:

Sorry for the long post i just wanted to make sure i covered everything... Thanks For all your Help :dsm: :talon: :laser:

P.S. I'm running a MBC turned all the way down (because the car is not running right when cold) so my boost is at 10 PSI and my only other mods as of now are free mods

well to start, at 3 am it is pretty cold outside. When you eliminate the EGR you also lose your cold start. So when you took it oof you pretty much decided to manually warm your car up.

hmmmm i didn't know that but the weird thing is no matter what time of day it is if the engine is cold it hard to start and keep started but after the engine is warm it starts and runs just fine (i think i might have a boost leak could that be part of my problem of not starting??) :dsm: :talon: :laser:

Did you eliminate all of the vacuum lines that can be eliminated as per Taboo's diagram? If so when eliminating the fuel pressure vacuum line it causes the car to require more turning over when cold so that fuel is pumped through the system, which is what the vacuum line did. If this is not the case then I'm not to sure what to tell you. Hope this helps.

I fixed it!!! This is my son's car. The connector to the coolant temp. sensor was bad. I cut it off and used two crimp terminals with heat shrink on them. It fired right up after sitting for 3 days. The CEL stopped coming on, too. I hope this helps someone. :rocks:
