palm n stein shows a low trim of 7, and a high trim of 12. yet the problem is, there is no O2 volt reading under any throttle, only when the car is in neutral will it then read between .6 and .1. another thing, the IAT reading is negative 40...i thought the translator had a set value of +80 degrees or so. and it also shows a code of EGR failure and O2 sensor malfunction bank 1 sensor 2. i have no cat on my car.... the main thing that blows my mind is the -40 reading. any ideas?

i dont think its a problem with the software, here's why... not too long ago i put an autometer a/f gauge in the car and it only showed activity at idle, under acceleration the leds would drop to nothing, i thought the gauge was broken, but i now realize it wasnt. when i bought the car, about a week after i had it the CEL came on and the code read it was the IAT sensor malfunction, this brought me to going the translator route, but upon installing it, the light remained on and the IAT code stayed. i later installed a different used MAF for a stock GST, but it too had a bad IAT sensor...so my ecu said. and i wasnt using palmnstein to get these codes, i was using real diagnosis equipment.

Huh? I don't understand how that says anything about the logger.

Not to mention... you are using a MAF from a GS-T, with the translator? Huh?

That whole post makes about 0 sense.

sorry, i should have made myself clearer...i took the translator out, and went back to the stock MAF system. i have made a discovery tonite tho, i tested the stack MAF with a multimeter, tested the ohms and under heat, the ohms dropped as they should, i applied ice and they raised as they should. this tells me the IAT in actuality is not bad, but rather functioning correctly. also, one of the codes thrown says this: P0125 clsd loop fuel ctrl insufficient coolant temp. is it a possibility that my ECU is bad? KPT, where can i find those other datalogging programs you mentioned? are they free? i know pocketlogger isnt

Well for your o2 reading, it sounds like it might be dead. Test that with a multimeter or something of the like and see if it still puts out volts at WOT, or any throttle for that matter.

As for the intake temps, yes you are right...GM MAFs dont' have a sensor for temps, so its set at like 86* I think and it shouldn't change. Thats built in to the Translator.

Have you gotten the IAT code with the stock MAF after you reset it?

yes, with the stock MAF it still showed a IAT code. i just thad all the capacitors replaced in my computer today, and it still shows a reading of -40 IAT and 0.00 O2v. i didnt mention this before, hoping that it wouldnt be the problem, but after all this i believe it might be...when i got the car, i put the stereo in, and ran the power wire for the amp thru the grommet that the engine harness runs thru. not knowing the harness instantly dropped down on the other side of the firewall, i took a drill to the grommet to make a hole and of course pulled it out with strands of wire wrapped around it. i took the harness out, matched all the colors of wires together, soldered them, heat shrinked them and thought i had solved the problem. the only thing i wasnt sure of was all the black wires, assuming they were grounds or multigrounds, i figured it didnt matter which black wire was connected to which. i cut the wire loom about 10 inches down either side of the tear(s) to make sure there werent any hidden broken wires, but didnt see any. now im down to buying a used wiring harness from a salvage yard. both vehicles are 5spd, but being mine is all wheel drive, and this harness is coming from a FWD turbo car, will it matter?
