i was thinking of buying a 3.5 inch gm mas and a translator but im reading around on the net and i see people have problomes with that. is this true? or is it a good investment? :talon:

There are no problems with the MAFT; just like any other tuning tool (SAFC etc) the vast majority of the problems are due to the end user.

Used properly, the car will run fine, usually better than it did with the stock MAF (this is especially true for 1g's).

Unless you are flowing a lot of air, you should just use the 3.0" MAF.

I recently installed my maft, I really like it. My friend has a logger and I need to run over and get him to datalog it for me, but I set everything +1 on the rich side just in case.

It's actually a noticeable difference, bov is much much louder, even my fiance noticed. I'll post pics later.
