Power windows

I now have manual windows in my car...but ever since I got the car the part on the regulator on the passenger door where you clip the handle on is stripped out so the handle doesn't work on it...(I gotta use pliers to roll down the window) *EMBARRASSING*!!! The driver side handle is ok but when you roll it up it gets about a inch from all the way up and it stops you have to pull it up the rest of the way!! I kno I kno its crap!! So instead of replacing the whole regulator...I thought about just going to a junk yard and get new doors with power windows...but is it possible to wire them up in my car? And how would I do it? Is it basically running power to the door switches or more?? Thanks for any help!

well you said you have manual windows in your car, where you have to roll one up with a pliers. You also stated that you have a window regulator. If there WERE power windows in the car at one point in time, they would still be there. A regulator has nothing to do with crank windows.
I am confused as to what your post is trying to say.

I tried to do this ounce and, is it possibale, YES but is it easy NO. there are plugs for power windows in your main fuse box, but there not wired up so what you will have to do is run power cords to the main fuse box, then run the wires to the harness on the chassie close to the door. This sounds really confussing and it is. Its will take like 5 hours to do it if you deside to. I would say just replace the bads in your doors and stay with manuel windows.

If you do everything to 'factory' spec yes it will take awhile. I bought all the components for the power windows/locks and installed it all pretty easily. Wiring does take awhile, especially if you want it as clean as possible. I have to hooked into a power source, fused, and they work fine. No problems with them. Locks aren't done yet, as you need the relays for them to work properly, but wiring them isn't too bad.

Also, taking out the old tracks and putting in the new ones are a pain. Me and my buddy were working on them, and the first one took a good 2 hours or so so rip the whole door down and put it all back together. Second one took 15 minutes since we knew what was going on then.

basically just trying to switch from manual to power....and seeing how hard it would be! by regulator i mean manual regulator! i know its goona be alot of wiring just wanted to see if it was possible thats all....thanks for the help guys
