2G Power steering rack leaking

Well I hit a guard rail the other night and now my power steering rack is leaking. I have a 96 Talon (base) would a rack fit off of a 97/98/99 Eclipse?

I'm going to a junk to pick one up but I need to know if it will fit into mine.

Yes they will fit no problem. i just cross referenced the part numbers at work and they are exactly the same. you should have no problem with any 2g rack fitting on your car.

Seems like you could find it at a U-Pull junk yard cheaper than that. One like pick-a-part or pull-a-part, depending on which one is in your area. Check out Pull-A-Part: Used Auto Parts For Less - Pull-A-Part. They have locations all over. That's like my favorite place in the world .

Damn I guess there isn't. I would just ask around and see if there's a U-Pull it junkyard anywhere nearby. You will always get a better deal if you pull the part yourself. And . . . well it's also a lot more fun.

Well i got the power steering rack off but im not sure how to get to the steering column bolt to release it from the power steering rack. Any pics or instructions would be great thanks a lot.

This shouldn't be that bad. Either from the driver side, or top with a extension and swivel socket.

Only thing is i can't seem to find it a good guide with pics would be a great help (sorry just got back from a party a bit waisted right now)
