Hi Guy’s :)

Before begin, i’m French and sorry if my English isn’t perfect

I have a big problem of Power Steering.
A week ago, i saw a leak in my Power steering Rack.
I bought a new one, and i replaced it.
I bought 2 new bellows too.

Tonight, after working on the car, i saw a biiiig leak inter the car. It was all the Steering fluid...
i check bellows and one’s of the new is dead...

So, i have 2 questions :
- Is that normal that my bellows are filled with steering Fluid ? Maybe the rack gaskets are dead... maybe it’s normal...
- How to do a perfect purge of the steering rack ?

Thanks a lot :)

There should be no fluid in the bellows. There is a seal on both sides of the rack that the bellow covers. If you see any fluid on the below, the seals are leaking.
I would contact the seller and try to get a new rack, or rebuild yours if you can.

To purge air out of the system, turn your steering wheel all the way from left to right and back. Do it a few times while watching the fluid level in the reservoir.

Thanks a lot for your answer :)
Well, my rack is dead...
Thanks !

To purge the air of the system, i have to start the engine?
The car has to be UP ?

Thanks :)
