power steering pump problem

My power steering pump died on me a few weeks ago (so i thought). I just finished changing in a rebuilt pump I bought at NAPA. My car is is groaning just as much as before I switched the pumps and the power steering is still messed up. Belts are tight, fluid is full. Any ideas?

Give us a little more detail about when it groans and where the sound might be coming from. Is it when your turn the wheel or is it when its just sitting there? Also just out of curiosity, did you make sure to bleed the system for air?

I fixed the problem, I had air in the system still. Had to turn the wheel back and forth like 30times to get it all out.
