power steering pump problem?

i notice that when i turn my wheel hard (and recently not so hard) my car will start squeeling and the wheel will start struggling with me. i think its the power steering pump but im not sure. does anyone kno how to fix this

Get a new belt first, that might be the problem. Also, check the level of the fluid.

Have you adjusted the belt tension?

That means your belt is slipping. That happened to me while driving my dads 94 toyota corolla. While i was stopped the car had no power steering, but when it was rolling it was normal. So we just tightened up the belt and that fixed it.

how is your fluid level?
and tighten and/or get new belts
