Power inverter installation?

so i am guessing if you don't have said hump in floor... you gotta rip out the seat and screw it down??? i don't know... i'll go get one of those super slim ones and rip out my seat and play around, i really do like that seat idea, i never thought of it...

well i wanted to set it up under the seat now so that you dont even see it, but to plug stuff in you have to move the seat all the way back, and of course to turn it on you'd have to move the seat back to inorder to flip the switch on the actual inverter, after the relay has already put power to it.

Not if you leave the switch ON. remember, it's only one with the ignition anyways. or... put a toggle inline with the trigger wire & ignition. then, only when the ignition AND the toggle are on will the invertor be on.

think outside the box. errr... something like that

Yea, like devil said, and I did ealier in this post... Put a small switch in the relay trigger wire, and then just leave teh inverter on.

Yeah, I was thinking about running it so the switch though to turn it on is in like under the dash... under the dash but inside the glovebox if you know where i am talking about.

ok, sounds like you have a good plan as to what you want to do wiht it, now GO and do it!! adn dont forget to post pics of it as you do it. ;)

actually i found this really easy to install one on tigerdirect.com thats something like 140 watts, and its really slim, the plug also comes out... so when I don't want to use it, i can take the plug out and shove it in the glove box... I can deal with the whole it being annoying for like 10min while driving when I need it, but I like the fact that when I don't, I can completely remove the plug from the cig lighter, I don't have to deal with relays and switche and all that stuff I have absolutely no clue about, I mean lets remember... I'm not exactly as good as even an electronics novice... I burnt my hand trying to solder a speaker cable...
