Power Enterprise v GReddy Kevlar T-Belt

Anyone out there have good/bad experiences with wither the Power Enterprise or GReddy 4G63-T Kevlar Timing belts? Both appear to be of comparable quality & craftsmanship and I believe the Power Enterprise one is maybe $20 more than GReddy.

Any thoughts?

ahh, not to sure about that.....plan on upping the boost, go with a kevlar.....extra insurance is never a bad thing

I trust OEM more than aftermarket companies, especially for critical parts like timing belts. I have never heard of a case of the OEM belt breaking because of too much power. Until I do, there is no reason to switch, IMO.

Eh, the kevlars are supposed to be the cat's meow, the ant's pants and the bee's knees. And, fresh petunias to boot. I'd be surprised if there was more than one outfit making them. How's that price compare to the ones MACHV sell?

Not that I caught a single word of that code, but the power enterprise kevlar's are twice as much as the OEM machv's.

There are other things that help with a kevlar belt. Not only is it 2+ stronger it also has much less stretch than the stock timing belt which will result in more accurate valve timing and less work on the tensioner and less chance of the belt skipping a tooth.

My opinion. I wouldnt get it unless I am making way too much power and have a lot of $$$. Otherwise if your looking to keep it under a budget the OEM belt will do.

If your planning to rev it really high and keep the balance shafts the kevlar balance shaft belt might be a good idea because the stock ones are known not to last too long if rev'd really high.

if someone is changing the t-belt, and think they are making enough power to justify having a kevlar belt(assuming that actually is a reason), why would they still have balance shafts anyways.

im curious to see what some of the fast dsms run..shepard, buschur, brown, ect....

I wouldn't get a kevlar belt soley on being afraid if it will break because of the power you are making (unless your making a shitload). But like was said, it won't stretch and it'll be more accurate down the road. It can last longer then the oem belt but you still have to replace it at 60k because the other stuff wasn't designed to last any longer.
