How many of you are running them? Would you consider it a good buy or a waste? Im still kind of thinking about doing it but i dont think ill need it. What do you all think?

i got one, just the added insurance for the little price it is i think is worth it.....its an extra $100 now vs. a couple grand if the stock one ever went.......especially if you plan on upping the boost. It never hurts to go stronger.

ir really doesnt matter just because the timing belt can laster longer doesnt mean the accesories belts, tensioners, seals, and water pump will last as long as the timing belt :dsm:

Bingo. :thumb:

well yes, but the way i see it is that since im putting a lot of money into my head, a kevlar one would be nice and possibly needed if i make a ton of power....

IMO if you renewed the Tensioner & all Pulleys, renewed ALL the Front Case Oil seals & the Water Pump - Did a complete Head job & canned the Balance Shafts - I would run a Kevlar belt 100K miles in a heartbeat.

- Otherwise the Kevlar belt will TRY & outlast your other components but any of those other components failure will kill ANY Timing Belt anyway.

Not to mention the kevlar isn't supposed to stretch like the OEM belt :D
I've just done everything Buck has mentioned and my kevlar belt should be going on this coming weekend
