Resolved Potential ECU issue.

I have done alot of research, and I am all for simple fixes. The cheaper the better.

The problem with my car is something I have looked for it *seems* to me that not many other people have had similar symptoms.

After starting my car(warm or cold) the engine will surge at idle and buck violently on ANY input from the accelerator with a load on the engine *unless* I simply let the car sit and idle for ~3min.

Once it has idled for the necessary 3min or so I can hear a noticeable smoothing of idle and the vac picks up to a solid 20" I can drive away as if the issue never existed. Once I turn the engine off and restart(even immediately) I have to wait out and idle again or else I'm riding a bucking bronco.

iac, cas, plugs, o2, and IM checked for leaks/proper operation. Cam timing dead on, no codes.

So I ordered a Reman ecu from rock auto because I have no idea what else to do.

i would of pulled the ecu and tested the board 1st hope you didnt spend to much on the ecu b/c you may still have the same problem if it isnt

did you check all the basic 1st? plugs wires ect...?

did you check all the basic 1st? plugs wires ect...?

If this were the case then why would it only run like crap after start and then go away completely once idled. It does not matter if I power off then IMMEDIATELY restart.

But yes plugs new bpr6es gapped .028. wires good

It doesnt click, i know that for sure. Im not sure though if any lights come on.

It was the maf, still idles kinda crappy but i dont care, at least i can drive the pos now. Btw i checked all the circuits of the maf, and they tested good, but the maf was still the root cause of the bucking acceleration.
