I'll start it off, i just wanted to do something a bit different this year. I wanted to have a clean engine bay car i could show off and be proud of. Just wanted to see other color people have done.

I wanted it to be darker than it turned out, but still not too bad I don't think.

Its like a military green, kinda. I wasnt sure about it at first, but I have grown to love it!

Not to be disrespectful, but OMG with a slight lean towards :barf:

:)

Personally, Craig

I love it...That would be sick in a white car.

Got any more pics, tsidrift? That color looks awesome.

My block is painted Ford Gray. It kind of like business gray.
Here's what it looked like about a week after being sprayed:

And this is how it darkened after about a year's worth of use:

And here's a shot of the silver painted block that I did for my roommate's '99 GSX:

I think I like it better after it darkened. Looks sweet.

Haha take ford grey, apply some heat, and you get ford blue (almost).

I actually like the bronze and the lime green a lot. Is it the rustoleum "hammered" bronze?

I know it would be a pain but I think the blocks would look better if the freeze plugs weren't painted over.

i'm definitely loving the gold/bronze color you have going on.

and to david-b that engine looks bad ass haha

hahaha this is a little wierd. Did you ever paint a head? I had a head given to me from a friend with a honda. he said someone gave it to him and said "the d*** thing is green so its prob for a honda". turns out its 4g head and i use it for mock up/anger management. It's been thrown down the driveway a few times and beat with a hammer :)

the gunmetal one looks awesome!

I never thought of doing this, maybe this will be in my engines future

Reviving an old thread! Has anyone painted their block purple? I am going with the purple theme on my magenta gray pearl 2g and want to see how a purple block looks before painting it. I am almost afraid of it being too much purple.

I was going to do purple, but never spent the money for some purple paint and clear if I didn't get a single stage enamel. I bought a gallon of Jetstream Blue Paint from ebay many years ago for no more than $50. Been using that on every engine since then so it's on about 5 or 6 4g63's.
