My car just died on the highway. I have found that when trying to crank it, it is to the point where it seems like it would turn over but won't at all. My FPR gage reads zero while trying to turn it over. I also have a rewire on my walbro 255, but I checked all the connections and it seems fine. The only thing I haven't checked on the rewire is the relay that the wires plug into. I also tested the pump and connected power and ground and disconnected the fuel line and tried to see if it would pump fuel into a bottle but nothing happened. Is this a failed fuel pump? The 255 is less than a year old, so it doesn't make sense why it would go out. Please respond quickly, I am stranded without a car away from my home.

thanks

If you apply power and ground directly to the pump and it doesn't turn on then the pump is open. (Bad Fuel Pump). Make sure you have your powers and grounds where you should through out your wiring incase something caused the pump to short out and you don't ruin another pump.

On the rewire, did you make sure that the constant (+) (which I assume you used to test the pump) is showing voltage and does not have a blown fuse or is otherwise not powered and the (-) is securely grounded?

FYI, there is a manual fuel pump relay test port on the P/S rear firewall (pic below) which can be used to test the pumps operation given that the relay is in order.
