Possible Vacuum Leak?

ive been looking at a 1st gen talon tsi awd. the engine seems to have some problems, its idling poorly and stalls when not stepping on the accelerator. he thinks that its either a vacuum leak or problem with the timing. how probable do these seem based on the problems? and what would it take to fixed? (assuming i did the work)

there have been numerous post about calls stalling with idle troubles...just search around and you'll find it

Yes it could be a vacuum leak, well u would have to leak test everything past the ISC...including all vacuum lines
