Possible to change thrust bearing with crank in car

I have no current signs of crank walk on my car but yesterday I used a pry bar to gently push on the crank pulley and it moves about 1/16".im gonna get a dial indicator tomoro and measure exact end play but if its out of spec I wanna stick a new thrust bearing in it now before it causes more damage.i know some motors you can just unbolt the girdle and spin the bearings right around the crank without having to remove anything else. Does anyone know if this is the case on 4g63 motors? Other wise I'm pretty much gonna have to sell the car cause imdamn near out of cash delete post resolved

Yes you can remove the trust bearing , and the rest of the bearings ! Without removing the crankshaft.

. i just measured endplay using the venier caliper method. i braced the end on the rim and the needle part on the center of crank pulley. after about 5 diff tries im showing a max of .008" endplay so i suppose im safe for a while then. im gonna check it every oil change if i see it get to like .012 im gonna swap the thrust bearing but hopefully its ok how it is. the block i believe has 158k miles on it if its still oem block which im not sure of.
