I bolted on my flywheel and my new pressure plate tonight and it doesn't look quite right. I put the clutch alignment tool on the disk (also into the flywheel) and started bolting on the pressure plate. The pressure plate is pushing pretty well on the clutch disk and it looks as if the clutch is engauged. Is this how a ACT2600 should look when bolted on new? Just as i started getting the bolts tighter (pressure plate to flywheel bolts) the fingers on the plate started to go down almost as if the throughout bearing was pushing on it already. Maybe this is how it is suppose to be, but I just want to be sure before I get everything together. Here are the part numbers of the products I installed...

Xtreme pressure plate - MB-010X
Performance Street disk - MBSD010S
Streetlite xact flywheel - 600160

Thank you in advance and if anybody has any quick tips on putting the transmission back in place with engine in car that would be great! thanks again

Also my car has a 7-bolt engine.

Wait... wtf was I thinking. When you release the clutch pedal the clutch is engauged and pressing in the clutch pedal pushes the pressure plate fingers down to release the clutch disk. duh so it should be engauged right now correct?

I'm tired and had a long day, give me some credit right? OMG :)

i know how it goes... i always rebuild my engines (small engines) after i get off work at 10, so i will go til 12 most nights.... u are tired, but for some reason, i always do things better than, i am too tired to rush myself, yet awake enough to think straight haha.. i wouldnt be able to pull my engine or tranny or do stuff like that to a car tho...way too much to mess up haha, i will give u some credit...i saw that ure post was at midnightish, and u had worked a long day ;)

Yeah that is the way it is supossed to be, When you bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel, the clutch is fully engaged, so the is why the fingers move in slightly (almost level) It still has plenty of room to disengage the clutch, Although it might be to late for this tip I will tell you anyway, If I were you and using a ACT2600 setup, I would shim out the pivot ball behind the clutch fork until the clutch fork arm is just right of the centerline ( looking at it from the front of the car ) where it comes through the bellhousing. :dsm:
