So I'm driving to work this morning and everything is great. I notice that im idleing funny at stops but think its just because my engine is still cold (very short drive to work). I take a turn at a stop light and all my power is gone, the car seems like its not getting any fuel. I have to feather the clutch to keep it drifting forward. After it comes to a complete stop it wont move anymore. The car will idle perfectly, however if i put it in gear in press in the gas it will sputter and die. The fuel filter and pump have not been replaced since i have owned the car and that is my guess, but i would love to hear opinions / suggestions. Thanks guys!

between the 2, imo it is the filter. no matter what the filter is old enough to have needed a change for a couple of years now, so weither or not that is the problem, it needs changing. the pumps generally work or they don't. you might get a day or so of intermitten (sp?) working, but not much more.

After some research on here, i am now convinved that it has to do with a loose or disconnected vacuum hose. I recently did the taboo speedshop vacuum hose elimination mod, im thinkin i did something incorrectly or something came loose. I'm going to replace all the hose back to factory and see what happens.

Yes, the upper intercooler pipipng came loose and I lost power in 5th. When that happens switch to 3rd and you'll still have power. It kinda has to do with the subject, but this happened to me on a bridge and I couldn't just pull over.
