Hi, I have a 1990 GS DOHC basically stock.
Anyway here is my question. When my car is in neutral, if I rev up the engine just for the heck of it, here is what happens.
If I slowly push the gas peddle more and more, the RPM's will go up smoothly. BUT if I quickly push it down (what I would consider it the normal "speed" you push the gas peddle down) there is like a 1 to 2 second period when the engine remains at the same idle speed, then it suddenly starts to rev up like normal. I am thinking this is a fuel pump related problem. What do you think?
Ohh and the car drives fine, you just notice this if you are upshifting at a moderatly quick pace or just revving up the engine for the heck of it in neutral.
