I just rewired my fuel pump yesterday and installed my new walbro 190 today... when driving I notice that headlights and blinkers change the pitch of the pump a little. Is this normal after a re-wire is done? Is this something I should worry about?

Usually rewiring improves this but it doesn't go away. The blinkers and headlights draw lots of current and that causes the entire electrical system voltage to drop. You'll notice it's works at idle when the alternator output is low. Making sure you have good battery connections helps some.

Turning up your stereo will help if not eliminate the noise.:)

Haha, thanks for the info. I was just worried because the re-wiring kit I bought said something like "have you ever noticed being stopped at a light and heard the pump go up and down with the blinker...." I was under the impression that that shouldnt' happen after you re-wire... If that's normal, just tell me so I can go to sleep, LOL

The Walbro pumps are known to whine, my rewired 255 does it as well but not as bad as yours going by your description. If you want to be safe, double check the re-wiring job and get your alternator tested at Autozone.

It's not terrible.. but I can hear a slight change in pitch with the blinker or headlights on... I don't know what else I could do with the wiring.. it is all tight and grounded to a screw on the lower chassis behind the plastic panelling on the right side of the car..

The noise doesn't bother me, I was just worried that the noise fluctuation was not normal and that my wiring was wrong or something.

you could rewire your engine grounds, battery grounds and battery to alternator wires with larger guage wires. This will improve overall electrical flow throughout the system. If you have a voltmeter you may see an increase of a few tenths of a volt
