hey guy's, i have a problem with my 255 walbro for my 1g dsm. start hapening after a month instaling 255 walbro, sometimes it happens, i would start the car. i would idle for about 5 seconds and then slowly choke itself out to stall. i would turn the key to crank the car but not start it to make sure the pump turns on and it doesn't. sometimes after it does start and i park it, then go to start it again. it won't fire it would just crank and crank. then i will pop the trunk, and wiggle the fuelpump harness around and the car will start. wierd. what is the problem? has anyone ever had this? and i just stored my car away now and i had it shut off in the drive way. i started it to back it in to store it. next day i went to get a car cover and some stabalizer, and tryed to start the car. fuel pump turns on. but car doesnt fire. and cranks normaly.. starter is brand new, battry is new and is not dead. wtf? i had it started and ran fine the day before?? LOL please help. thanks!

If you're wiggling the fuel pump wire harness in the back and getting it to work I would say that your problem is right there. I would check all the wires at that plug with a multimeter and see if you can get the readings to change any when you wiggle the wires. You might just have a broken/damaged wire right back there.

I would check all the wiring for a lose power wire or faulty ground, or just go ahead and do the rewire mod since its cheap and will benefit you as well.

hey guy's, thanks for the info! yes it is stock wiring. so to fix the issue is to get the fuel pump rewire kit? if it's the wiring? like if i get the rewire kit it will fix it? and give me everything i need? cause i don't know much about the wiring. thanks!

If you do a PROPER rewire, it will fix the issue since you will bypass the connector all together. However most people use larger gauge and stop at the connector and go back to the stock wiring which in turn makes the rewire pointless. If you do the rewire, the larger gauge has to go directly to the pump terminals themselves by running the wires through the hangar assembly.

However, I would first look at the connector itself and make sure the pins are getting a solid connection and are not corroded before spending money, especially since wiggling it made it work. Also, the fuel pump will not turn on until the motor turns over enough to register a signal from the CAS as that is what provides the signal for spark and fuel.
