1G Fuel pump issue

The car with start dumping gas down the throat, there seems to be power going to the pump (from cab) but it's not engaging and it was so I was told, am I missing something?

Very difficult to read. What's not engaging? Based on what I see injectors aren't firing if you indeed have fuel at the rail.
What have you verified and how?

Is the problem with the poor car in the picture or with some 2G?

Have you, yourself, measured the power at the fuel pump to verify it's the pump and not something else?

Have you ever looked at the Factory Service manuals for the car in question?

No I have not dropped the tank to get at sending unit which is my next step. But out of the research the fuel pump is tied into the mfi system including its own?

You do not have to drop tank. You can hear the fuel pump clearly at the gas cap and the connectors are easily accessible to check voltage. Rule out the easy stuff
