Weird Fuel pump issue

So I'm working on a buddies 2g gst and it turns over good and has spark but no fuel so first I took off the fuel rail to see if the injectors were squirting they wernt.

Next I took the lines off at the pump and turned it over and no fuel came out of he assembly. I can hear the pump whining in the tank I know it's turning on so I take it out and mess with it can't figure any thing out so I swap it with a pump I know works still the same problem the pump is turning on but not pumping.

I took the pump and wired it up with out the assembly and dropped it in, turned the car over and I can see the pump torquing in the tank and its making noise both pumps do this but no fluid come out. Iv also swapped out relays. Thanks for any help

sounds to me like there is not enough fuel in the tank for it to pick up. AKA out of gas.

Is the fuel filter clogged?

Do you have the polarity reversed?

If it's not that, then maybe you didn't let the pump run long enough to prime up.

Sounds like it's wired backwards to me. What happened that caused this issue to come up?

It's defenetly not out of gas and theirs plenty of gas in the tank. When I swapped wires the pump wouldent even turn on. And I hard wired it and still nothing. I been switching between 2 pumps I know work.

sounds like the filters clogged? does he run it low on gas alot?

It could be the CAS what year 2g?

The fuel filter has nothing to do with it gas wont even come out of the pump and the bag on the pump is just fine. It's a 96 with a 1g cas

Are you getting power to your injectors? Were you cranking it over when you were trying to see if fuel was coming out? If you aren't getting fuel you could see if it is the MFI relay.

clogged or pinched line? pump not seated in the pickup properly? Check the 0 ring.

Might have a hole in the rubber fuel hose that connects the pump to the hanger.
