Hey guys I have a 90 tsi awd, profile is up to date except I recently put on an fp exhaust manifold on instead of my evo 3 manifold. Recently did a timing belt as well.

Recently when I put my foot into it the car will only boost at 10 psi opposed the 18 I usually run. Now the really weird thing is when the turbo starts spooling it almost sounds like a horn is honking. It seems like it's from the fuel pump. Also while boosting the a/f ratio is at exactly 10 instead of the 11's I used to see. Any time other than boosting the car acts perfectly normal. I've also done several boost leak tests since and not once have I had a leak.

What do you guys think? Fuel pump? Am I over running the stock regulator? Is my boost controller starting to wear out? I'm stumped on this one.

Thanks.

Just checked the actuator and it seems to be working fine.

Also there are no exhaust leaks either.

When you did the boost leak test what psi did you test to and how long did it hold that psi for? Did you use soapy water to look for bubbles?
