That piston is not broken, it has melted probably from a lean condition in that one cylinder. Pull the piston out and the rings will probably be broken in that same area. It is not reuseable, its trash.

As far as the block is concerned, That looks more like the melted aluminum stock to the cylinder. Pull the engine apart and take it to a machine shop and have them inspect it. You might be able to get away with just honing the block. Regardless, the engine needs to come apart and piston replaced. You also need to find out what caused the problem before you put it back together.

EDIT: after looking at the block a little better, it looks as if it has started melting also. You will probably either have to bore it or just replace it.

It's really hard to tell what's going on there, it appears that there is material missing from the block, if that's the case then the block is garbage. If it is just aluminum from the piston, then you should take it to a reputable machine shop. They should be able to tell you if it can be repaired.

sorry guys, i havent had access to a computer for a while.

When i bought the car from the guy, he said he replaced the radiator, and radiator hoses, etc. So me and my friends were thinking he had an overheating problem. Now, i just pulled the pistons today, and 2 of them are ok, the other ones, well, i post some pics soon, The oil was gray. Just flat grey, it was pretty disgusting, but i got them all out and ill post pics soon. But i dont think the cylinder walls are that bad, they could just use a little hoining out. Ill post pics and you guys can tell me what you think
