cylinder wall problem

ok i was trying to rebuilt my 2g gst but the guy who was working on it say that one of the rods broke and that cause the damage the cylinder wall something like taht

and my question is ?? what if bore to a 2.3 L what are the option??

please help and sorry for the spell

You can't bore it to 2.3l you have to stroke it. The most you can bore is To 87.5mm. Stock is somewhere around 85mm

if your lucky you may get away with boring it... if damage wasnt alot

Buy another block

sleeve it, bore it, 6 bolt swap, hone (but i doubt it)

thanks for all the info i think i'm just gonna save some money and buy a 6 bolt motor, thinking to get it from AMS performance. what you all think?? any advice!

idk about that, 2800 for a stock 6 bolt is pretty high. check the classifieds on here and craigslist

ok guy's i found a use motor my mechanic call me and he toll me that he call to a chunk yard and he found a 97 mits gst with 52,xxx thousand miles!!! so what all you guys think should i take it and if so what are the first things should i need to check or change ??? any advice are welcome Thanks
