Cylinder wall death!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any idea what would cause this damage?
Detination problems?
Any ideas?

Piston slap. Too much clearence between Cylinder walls and Piston. Who built this engine?

There was also some debate in the past as to whether or not wiseco pistons can cause premature block failure, but as I remember everything was inconclusive (at least the last time i checked those threads), and that kind of block failure was more of a straight crack, not what you have here, so I'd say it looks like piston slap from a sloppy build, what pistons were you running?

It is a 2.3 4g63 w/ wiseco stroker pistons and eagle rods

Yepper thats piston slap. Are your pistons forged? Forged piston runs less clearance

Differrent metals/alloys expand at different rates.
Sorry to bash on your builder, but I wouldn't go back to them again.

I see why HAHA. Really though, sorry about the loss. Learn and build it yourself. Theres a vast amount of info in these archives. READ READ READ, and you'll build a better stronger one that you can be proud of saying you did it yourself.
