I have recently started to build a 6 bolt and was just wondering if I am setting my goals too high. I'll give the basics to my setup and let me know what you think. I'm shooting to build the motor to make about 550 hp, let me know if I'm dreaming.

Turbo- Ported td06 20g w/ external gate @ 22-27 psi

Engine/Head- bored .020, eagle rods, wiseco 8.3:1 pistons, underdrive crank pulley, no balance shafts, SBR stage II head, HKS valvesprings, HKS 264 intake/272 exhaust cams

Fuel- 720cc injecors (maybe bigger), aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, walbro 255, S-AFC II

Drivetrain- Buschur trans, act 2600 clutch, act flywheel.

Goals are 550 hp (425+ whp) and low 11 second ET's Is that too much dreaming, let me know. By the way, sorry if this is ''bench racing'' but i just need some opinions.

Ditch the AFC and 20G and get DSMlink and a FP Green at minimum.

Get both 272's not just one.

No need for the lower than stock 8.3:1 pistons ...get 8.5:1 or 9:1

And go with at least 750cc injectors if you the link to control them.

wouldn't hurt to throw in a sheet metal intake and a large front mount IC.

This IMHO is a better setup for your goals.

I'd stay away from the crank pully. you could always go with a MAFT and chip and help fine tune with the AFC. Get an intake mani. get some FP2's if your doing the 264/272 combo to keep a decent idle, fp2's idle fine. other than that put some race gas in, a fine tune, and shed some weight and you can pull it off.

Dont ditch the 20g. Its a powerful turbo. All I suggest is a nice Fmic and a Smim.

Stock 1st gens are 7.5:1 compression. not 8.3:1.

1G's are actually 7.8:1 compression, but ya go ahead and go with the 8.3:1 in the weisco's, but please stay away from the crank pully, its not worth it. other than that you are set to go.

Okay, i was close :D I'd also go with the 8.3's and the 20g as well. Also, I'd get the crank knife edged and balanced if you're trying to save on weight. Buschur just did mine for $315 shipped :thumb:

Don't forget to swap your rear end for a four-bolt one. That three-bolt won't last long if you're making 10 second runs.

Might wanna invest in something like DSMLink (as stated earlier) or possibly E-manage, instead of S-AFC.. Maybe a UEGO Wideband also. It could be kind of hard to tune for your Hp goal with an AFC and not a standalone or piggyback.
