Ive searched the topic and haven't found anything regarding my particular situation. My stock T25 went and I'm gonna replace it with a used T25 in great shape until I can install something bigger the right way with ALL the supporting mods needed. Will match porting my manifold, turbo, and installing an EVO3 o2 housing yield any noticeable gain? Ive seen post regard the porting of one or another but not all of what I can port. I already have an intake, IC piping, turbo back exhaust, boost gauge and mbc.

On another note. Is anyone else having trouble navigating the site? None of the links up top are working for me. So I have to access the forum in a round about sort of way. I can get to the classifieds so does anyone have a passenger side fog light bezel they'd like to part with?

Porting the turbo really won't net you any gain at all as the turbo is useless after 5-5.5k rpm, it's not worth the bother. These turbos are close to maxed out from factory, and with your bolt-ons, i bet it's running at it's peak.

You can port the manifold, turbo, and o2 housing and you probably wont hurt performance but you probably wont help it much either.

Porting the manifold and turbo on the t25 is IMO fairly useless. They are already matched as is and the compressor housing necks down as it reaches the turbine. What you would be doing in essence is creating a cavernous area that fosters turbulence and you would probably see no gain at all.

Porting the o2 housing IMO is worthwhile, it isn't something you have to do later and it reduces backpressure and increases exhaust flow assuming that you already have a high flowing exhaust. In this case you will see some slight gain now and an even greater gain when you switch to a different turbo. Keep in mind that using an evo3 o2 housing will result in some headaches with your downpipe, the downpipe studs on the evo3 o2 are angled a bit different than the dsm o2 housings.

FWIW the main point of porting a turbo is to take care of boost creep which is not an issue with the t25 or to match the turbo inlet which is also not an issue in this case.

When my ole 14b gave up, I put the original t25 back on till I got another turbo. Since my manifold was already ported, I also ported the t25. It did not gain me any top end but it lowered the full boost point even more - virtually no lag. It was fun for a little while....
